Robyn is a fifth-year medical student based in London (albeit one who regularly escapes back to the Wiltshire countryside). She inherited her mother’s love of books, growing up with the Famous Five, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and just about anything else she could get her hands on. As a child, she could regularly be found reading on her windowsill by streetlight after bedtime. These days, she’s a fan of fantasy, science fiction, mystery and contemporary fiction for both teenagers and adults – especially anything by Erin Morgenstern, Brandon Sanderson, RF Kuang, or Becky Chambers. She likes books with diversity, beautiful writing, and three-dimensional characters. Where it doesn’t detract from the plot, she likes romance in books – but she isn’t sure why everyone seems so fond of love triangles. She likes a bit of horror and is always looking for books with necromancy or dragons. (There can never be enough books about dragons). Robyn is always eager to read medical non-fiction.
Aside from reading, Robyn enjoys playing hockey, hiking, exploring the world, collecting teddy bears, and a nice cup of tea. She’s also a keen writer. When she’s allowed out of hospital placements, she can be found dyeing her hair strange colours and baking her family treats.
